How is the money spent?
At each committee meeting applications from staff and students are considered. Each year many projects both large ands small are supported. Members of staff are encouraged to bid for funds through their subject departments, year teams or extra curricular activities/clubs. Students can bid for personal funding for a particular project that they are involved in.

These are some of the things we have funded over the past few years

• £700 contribution towards the cost of new alto drums for the school steel band
• £350 towards the cost of 15 new digital cameras for the IT department
• £454 towards the cost of new sewing machines for the technology department
• Contribution to the sports festival to help with the cost of photocopying, score sheets, banners and certificates
• £800 contribution to Shakespeare Day
• £365 contribution to 14 Spin Bikes P.E. Department
• Pupil assistance/donations
• £350 Data Projector- Maths
• Digital Camera and Video camera for the Humanities Department
• £ 500 grant Art Enterprise day
• £ 300 Personal Development enterprise task
• Replacement and purchase of new games used at the lunchtime PALS club
• Bedding plants and planters for the Gardening Club to enhance the Main Entrance
• £ 300 Technology: 2 Cordless Drills, 2 Orbital Sanders,2 Delta Sanders, 2 Sony Digital Cameras
• £ 1,712 Science: 4 hand held data loggers
• £2,000 Learning Support: Alpha Smarts small portable hand held basic word processors
• £ 300 Funding for Year 7 Geography/Art Project on sustainable living
• Part-funding for a set of ‘Boccia’ balls
• £ 4,790 Drama and Science: Interactive Whiteboards

• £ 147.00 – Sixth Form – to send 2 Sixth Form students & 1 member of staff to the ‘Auschwitz Project’
• £ 460.00 - Sixth Form Common Room - Plasma screen - Proceeds from FoSW tombola stall which six form students run at the Craft Fair
• £ 200.00 – Learning Support/ Gardening group – seeds, containers, plants
• £ 350.00 – Year 11 induction programme – Learning skills workshop
• £ 91.00 – School Sports Coordinator – ‘Top Link Festival’ for printing, certificates & prizes
