Lottery Rules
and Regulations
- The club is organised by the officers of the Friends of South Wolds
School
- The club is open to all Parents/Guardians of pupils at the school,
Teaching staff and other paid employees at the school, Governors and
Friends of
South Wolds School, aged 18 or over.
- Number for each month's draw will
cost £1. there will be ten monthly
draws per school year, from October through to July.
- Each person eligible
to purchase numbers will be limited to a maximum of FIVE numbers per
draw.
- Half of the income of the Lottery Club will be distributed in cash
prizes; the other half of the income will be given to the school to finance
projects within the school.
- Prize levels will depend on the number of
participants. Prizes will be
on a pro-rata basis so that the cash value of prizes totals half of the
money received.
There will be THREE cash prizes per month.
- All income allocated by the Friends
of South Wolds will be publicised through the School Newsletter and the
FOSW website and a report will be given at
the AGM of the Friends of South Wolds, held in the Autumn Term of each
year.
- The numbers are drawn by using simple "raffle" procedure
and witnessed by at least three members of the Friends of South Wolds.
- Payment
for numbers must be made in one lump sum on joining the Lottery Club,
and then annually by means of a Bank Standing Order (optional).
- Part payments
for those joining during the school year are acceptable.
- The club will
be conducted within the requirements of the Lotteries & Amusements
Act of 1976.
- Numbers will not be eligible to win prizes until payment
has been received by a Friends of South Wolds representative or into
the Friends of South
Wolds Bank Account by Standing Order.
